The Business of Longarming and Grand Opening

Do you want to build a snowman?…I mean, start a longarm business??

There are so many reasons to be in business for yourself, doing things that you love on your own schedule. There is no better time than the present to get started. And you need a longarm quilting machine that will support you and your clients for years to come with impressive visibility, little to no maintenance, and 24/7 support. An Innova system from Montana Longarm Quilting and Supplies is the machine for you!

If you are unsure which system is right for you, come to the store and try them all! Want even more instruction before you make a decision? Consider taking the classes for both the Hand Guided and the Computerized version and we will deduct the cost of your classes from your system price if you purchase within one year.

We are working on additional classes and schedules starting in November which will be published during our Grand Opening. You can expect to see additional hand guided techniques (rulers, fillers, feathers, etc.) and advanced computerized methods (morph, mask, blocks and borders, etc.). We will also be offering classes on starting your home based longarm quilting business.

Why should you start your own business now? As noted above, you get to do what you love on your own schedule. It is a lucrative income with the average price for an all over design on a queen size quilt (90”x90”) being $160 which could be completed on an Innova longarm system in 6 to 8 hours on average. There are many tax benefits for small business as well, including business use of home and vehicle, deductions for start up and ongoing expenses and best of all you can get up to 35% savings on equipment purchases for your business under the Section 170 Tax Deduction for equipment put into service by the end of the year. You will want to work with your tax accountant or tax attorney regarding your personal situation but believe me, it’s worth it!

The largest investment you will have for a home based longarm quilting business is your quilting system. You will want to ensure you get the best equipment available as your entire business model is riding on the back ofis dependent on it. There is nothing on the market superior to Innova – it is built to quilt! We have put together some end of year incentives with financing options via Green Sky or Red Thread to help you get started – quoted payments are OAC based on standard installments over 72 mos (they also offer 6 or 12 mo “No interest with Payments” options).

High performance 18” stitch regulated systems start at $11,000 + $550 S & H ($202.13/mo or one and a quarter queen sized quilts in a month)

Top of the line 22” Lightning Stitch regulated systems start at $16,000 + $550 S & H ($289.63/mo or less than two queen sized quilts in a month)

High performance 26” Navigator Computerized Robotic stitch regulated systems start at $25,000 + $750 S & H ($450.63/mo or less than three queen sized quilts in a month)

Top of the line 26” AutoPilot Computerized Robotic Lighting Stich regulated systems start at $33,000 + $750 S & H ($590.63/mo or less than four queen sized quilts in a month)

All systems include machine head, pro frame, table top, leaders, starter kit with bobbin winder, extended throat plate, articulating light, laser light, and manual channel locks. Frames and tables up to 11 feet are included in the quoted price. There are additional shipping and manufacturing fees for 12 or 14 foot frames.

We are going to sweeten the deal on all systems sold by the end of the year by offering all accessories at 15% off, the full collection of Innovatech thread at 25% off (savings of $208.75), free set up, delivery and in-home training ($800 to $1500 savings depending on system) and free attendance at the ‘starting your home based quilting business class’ (value of $100).
