The cooler days and nights sure have the feel of fall. Today is the 1st official day of fall. Are you starting to feel the need to clear up yard work, put away tools and settle into cold weather routines? About this time of year our thoughts turn to quilting and crafting. I am not really sure we have stopped quilting since March. How do you celebrate Fall?
Mystery Quilt-a-long Clue 2-
1st a correction from last week, sorry. I was rereading the instructions and realized that I did not give you the correct information on how many squares to cut. So.... Please cut 30 more light 4 inch squares and 30 more med/dark 4 inch squares.
-Pair a light 4" square with a med/dark 4" square. Lay right sides together. Draw a diagonal line thru the center of the lighter square. -Sew 1/4" away from both sides of the drawn line.
-Cut on the solid diagonal line, press to the darker fabric. -Repeat with all 60 light and 60 med/dark squares. Create 120 half square triangle blocks. -Using your favorite method, trim all blocks to 3 1/2". (My favorite is a Bloc Loc Ruler. It is fast and easy.) Stop by and see me if you need help with this method.
