| Fabrics will be referred to as background = light (even if you choose to do something darker) and scraps or fat quarters = assorted prints. Clue #2 from light fabric cut: If using one background fabric - cut eight strips 6 1/2" by width of fabric from the strip cut 120 - 2 1/2" x 6 1/2" rectangle. Scrappy method - for larger scraps, cut 6 1/2" strips from the strip cut as many 2 1/2" x 6 1/2" rectangles as piece allows from smaller scraps cut as many 2 1/2" x 6 1/2" rectangles as you can get, a total of 120 rectangles are needed.
